Week 29

Hey Mom! Thanks for the updates on Turkey. From what you're telling me, things don't seem too bad. But if you could, tell me more about the actual government situation and the state of emergency status- all of the reasons we left Turkey. I can't open links at all so summaries are best. Thank you so much and thank you for your words of comfort.  I know who is ultimately in charge, but when people have more sources than I do and start talking, it's hard not to listen to them. I have no idea what the other Turkish volunteers are thinking right now, but I'm sure I'm not the only one having a rough time. I'm not in contact with President Cakir and the only email I got from the Torontos was about the packages you sent.  I have to say that Berlin is very "interesting." There are sooooo many older people along with the Socialist "lollipop" government.  Oh my goodness haha, and for some reason Elder Griffin really likes to talk to them. None of them like us though. I really liked what you said about overcoming temptations and our strengths.  We have SOOO much more when we use the Atonement and take advantage of it and its blessings. The temple re-dedication was so good. President Uctdorf and Elder Bednar were there and both of them spoke--in German. Elder Bednar served his mission in Germany so that was cool. Thankfully they had translators so that I could know what they were saying. The cultural fest was also really good and that was broadcast tool. This week while finding, two South African girls asked us where some store was, thinking we were security guards haha.  They ended up being really interested and hopefully they'll....CALL US BACK! We gotta stay optimistic. That was about it this week, sorry I don't have much to say but thank you so much for everything, Mom. I love you tons and I hope you have another great week.
