Week 102

Ne ekersen onu bicersin

(You reap what you sow)

*Weren't able to go to the public bath last week-- The Izmir volunteers had some really bad issues to deal with, "since they couldn't come, we didn't go, instead we had a foosball tournament at the church haha. Turkish baths are pretty much spas, but not nearly as formal. Some are coed, but most are not."
*"This week went by so fast, mostly because of zone conference and it was great. Sister Davis taught how God literally knows everyone of His billions of spirit children perfectly, and how divine our calling is to help bring them back into the fold. President Davis talked about many topics, and one of them I think I will mention in my homecoming talk--having high love and high expectations. Volunteer Johnson, Sister Vail and I gave our departing testimonies and that was rough.  I really loved Volunteer Johnson's."
*"Also a couple of weeks ago, President Davis invited the entire mission(volunteers and members) to fast yesterday for our upcoming harvest day, which will be Wednesday.  We will be focusing on finding families and bringing less actives and part member families back! We truly believe we will see many miracles on Sunday from here on, as this will be our focus."
*Not able to meet with our chicken and rice guy--for some reason he quit his new job that he got last week. "We did meet with quite a few potentials! Volunteer Bennion has been getting quite a few phone numbers and we also got multiple referrals this past week--from the internet and past investigators that somehow found our numbers.  We were able to meet with some of them. AND Sunday morning a random guy called me asking where our church building was. He said that he'd been before and wanted to come.  I sent him the address and he showed up with a friend.  They loved church and both asked when they could get baptized!! That's like a story you would hear in South America!  The Lord's work is not different anywhere in the world and He touches hearts and prepares people everywhere in the world."
*"Dang! I can't believe the Eagles beat the Pats!  Yasli Johnson is an Eagles fan and is super upset he missed it haha."
* Going to the Grand Bazaar today for probably the last time
*"I'll be ready for homecoming fireside- I"ll be ready for them!"
*"Love you guys so much! Two weeks...it's starting to hit me!"
